Barber's Radiant Children

Barber students read about the famous artist, Jean-Michel Basquiat, featured in the picture book called Radiant Child with their art teacher, Ms. Tompkins. After learning about this artist, Ms. Tompkins guided students to use this inspiration to create works of art themselves. Check it out!

Everyone in the building was so proud of their work. Their art was displayed in an art walk. Parents and students found their masterpieces and posed for pictures. All the proud families!  Families also sang along to holiday songs,  listened to the band and orchestra, and learned about financial literacy.
