Jaleah for President This past November the country was excited to finally hear the presidential election results and our second graders were no exception.  There was excitement in the air for President-elect Joe Biden and Vice-President-elect Kamala Harris’ victory. Mrs. Corle overheard her students’ chatter about what it would be like to be the president. She was overjoyed that her young learners saw the leadership of our country in their futures. Mrs. Corle was further inspired that both the young men and the young ladies in her class of all ethnicities had clear proof that their dreams were possible. She encouraged her students to write down their ideas of what they would do if they were elected president someday and present them to the class. Many students rose to the challenge and shared their best ideas.

Wednesday, January 20, 2021, is the Inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden.   Vice-President-elect Kamala Harris is making history as the first female, first African-American, and first Asian-American US vice-president-elect. We celebrate history in the making.

While we join in the excitement of the Inauguration, allow us to introduce second-grader, Jaleah for President. Mrs. Corle says that Jaleah is a hard worker, is kind to all her classmates, and a leader in the class. Check out what Jaleah has to say:
