Turkey Tips Just for You!
As we enter the season of thankfulness, we would like to thank our Barber families for being partners in their learning. Mrs. Rings welcomed her new kindergarten students to her class this fall. For the first time, she started the school year virtually. We were all nervous about our newest students navigating technology, getting to know each other, and feeling comfortable enough to share ideas. Day by day, our students have really blossomed, adjusted to the technology and have lots to say.
We would like to introduce one of our kindergarteners, Jodeci Wemmer, who has big ideas. I am sure there were lots of young helpers in the kitchen over the holidays. Jodeci loves to help around the house so wants to tell us how to bake a Thanksgiving Turkey.

How to Bake a Thanksgiving Turkey
Told by: Jodeci Wemmer
Age 5
“We cook the turkey at mom’s, grandma’s, and our cousin’s house. The turkey is cooked in the kitchen. We don’t bake the turkey: you only bake a cake. We put the turkey in the microwave for 10 minutes. Then you cut the turkey. You eat it with vegetables like corn. Then we have pumpkin pie.”
To Jodeci and the Wemmer family, “We hope you enjoyed your holiday and we know the turkey was amazing.”
